What's a good word that rhymes with chicken, and means "deadly projectile"?
I'm writing a children's book.
It's not going well. Sales wise, I don't think this will be on a par with J.K. Rowling and her "mildly successful" series.

Remember that the true joy of children's books is that you get to make up new words for things you need.
Or you could write it in rhyme.
"Through the door burst the chicken,
many throwing knives he was flickin"
And so forth
"...and with many bullets thus was stricken"
